This Privacy Policy describes how Real Green Engineers Pvt Ltd
(“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data
through Parent Connect (the “App”), the guardian companion app to RealHRMS's Student
Module — a school management platform used by schools (“Schools”) to manage
admissions, academics, fees and transport, and to give registered guardians visibility into their own child's
school life.
The School your child attends is the data fiduciary/controller for both your child's data and
your own guardian data collected through this App — we process it on the School's behalf, under contract,
as their service provider. Questions about what the School itself records about your child, or about correcting
it, should go to the School office first; we support the School in fulfilling those requests but cannot act on
School records unilaterally.
1. Who uses this App
Parent Connect is used by guardians — adults registered by the School as a parent or
guardian of an enrolled student. Your child does not use this App and does not have their own login to it;
everything in the App is accessed through your own, individually verified guardian account.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Provided by the School
Your identity as a guardian: name, email address, and your relationship to the student (as recorded by the
School when it links you to your child's enrollment).
Your child's school information that the School has chosen to make visible to you through the App: name,
class/section, day-by-day attendance, homework once a teacher has published it, and — only if the
School has separately granted your account fee-visibility permission — fee balances and payment
history.
Your mobile/WhatsApp number, if the School has recorded one for you, used to send you account-related
WhatsApp notifications (fee-due reminders and new-circular alerts) — see Section 4 for how this is
delivered.
2.2 Generated by using the App
One-time login codes (OTP) sent to your registered email to verify it's really you signing in. Codes are
short-lived and stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text.
Your login session.
Messages you send to the School through the App, and the School's replies.
Which circulars/announcements from the School you've opened — a simple per-circular read marker, so
the School knows what's been seen.
A push-notification device token, only if you enable notifications, used solely to deliver alerts for new
circulars and replies to your messages. We do not use it for marketing of any kind.
What this App does not collect: Parent Connect does not request or access your phone's
location, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
The live bus map (below) shows where the school vehicle is — not where you are.
3. How we use this information
Solely to operate the App for you: verifying it's you at login, showing you the School information about your
own child that the School has authorized you to see, and delivering the messages, circular alerts, and reply
notifications described above. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who we share information with
The School — it already holds this data as your child's educational institution; the
App's job is to show a defined slice of it back to you and to relay messages between you and the School.
Service providers who help us run the App, bound by confidentiality/security obligations,
limited to what's needed to provide their function:
Cloud hosting/database infrastructure
Email delivery (for your login code, and for message/reply notifications)
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — for push notifications, if enabled
Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp Business Platform) — used to deliver fee-due reminders and
new-circular alerts to your WhatsApp number, only if the School has recorded one for you. Meta processes
the message content and your number solely to deliver these messages and does not receive any other data
about you or your child. You can ask the School to remove your WhatsApp number from your guardian record
at any time to stop these messages; you will still receive the same notifications by email and, if
enabled, in-app push.
Sentry — for error monitoring, to help us find and fix bugs; this may incidentally capture
technical error context, not intended to include your personal data beyond what appears incidentally in
a stack trace
Razorpay Software Private Limited — only if the School has granted your account fee-visibility
permission and you choose to pay a fee through the App. Razorpay processes your name, email, and the
payment itself to complete the transaction; we do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank
details — only the payment outcome and receipt.
We do not share your data, or your child's, with any other third party except where required by law.
5. Data security
Login codes are hashed, never stored or transmitted in plain text after the moment they're emailed to you.
Your account can only ever see the specific child/children the School has linked it to — not other
students at the School.
Fee information is shown only if the School has explicitly granted your specific guardian account that
permission; it is off by default.
Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Homework and circulars are only ever shown once the School has published them — nothing in draft
reaches your account.
6. Data retention
Your guardian account and the information visible through it are retained for as long as your child's enrollment
and your guardian access remain active at the School, and thereafter per the School's own record-keeping
policies and any applicable legal retention requirements. If the School removes your guardian access or your
child leaves the School, your ability to sign in to the App ends; retention of the underlying School records
themselves is governed by the School's policy, not this App.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you and, in respect of
your child's data, your child through you as their guardian, may have rights to access, correct, or request
erasure of personal data held about you or your child. Because the School is the data fiduciary/controller,
please raise these requests with the School office first; we will support the School in fulfilling valid
requests made to us directly as well.
8. Children's data
Parent Connect necessarily involves a minor's personal data — your child's — but the App itself is
not used by children: it is a guardian-facing tool, accessed only by an adult whose identity the School has
verified and linked to the student. We do not run advertising in this App, and we do not use tracking,
behavioral profiling, or targeted advertising involving your child's data, consistent with the protections for
children's data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
9. Location data — specific notice
The App's live bus tracking feature shows the position of your child's assigned school vehicle, reported by a
GPS device fitted to that vehicle (or synced from the School's fleet-tracking provider). Parent Connect
requests no location permission from your phone and does not collect your device's location at any time.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated"
date above; where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
